5 Minute Slime DIY

As soon as my three-year-old saw the commercial with a bunch of kids making a squishy, colorful slime she was in! The kids on the TV listed ingredients and my little one repeated those same ingredients back to me (more than once.) So we decided to give it a try, and boy are we glad we did! There is just something so satisfying about the feel of slime in your hands.
I also loved the fact that we only had to spend $1, since we already had contact solution and baking soda on hand!
You need:
-Elmer’s School Glue
-½ Tbsp. Baking Soda
-1 Tbsp. Contact Solution
-Food Coloring (optional)
First, we poured the entire 4 oz bottle of Elmer’s glue into the bowl and added blue food coloring. Next, we sprinkled in ½ a tablespoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of contact solution.  Using a fork we combined the ingredients together.
After about a minute we picked the ball of slime up and finished kneading it together by hand. If it starts to get too sticky just rub it back into the bowl with the contact solution helps with the stickiness.
This was pretty much the easiest recipe in the world! My daughter loved it, and everyone in the house took turns playing with it.
I highly recommend giving this one a try for kids three and up!!
Also, I would like to mention that after a few hours of playing with the slime it became pretty tough and unusable, but that will not stop us from making this again!!
Thanks for reading!
