I’m back today with another Makeup Monday! Today I’ll be sharing my reviews for three new beauty products. A setting powder, a mascara, and a lipstick.
I want to start with the CoverGirl Peacock Flare Mascara because it is my favorite of the three.
I was completely blown away by the volume and length this mascara gives my lashes. Honestly, since I started using it at the end of November I haven’t used anything else. The formula and the wand remind me of the Benefit They’re Real Mascara. But this wand has a very interesting shape that makes it so easy to use. But in my opinion, the length you get with this one is better… sorry, Benefit! The only thing I didn’t like about this mascara was that by the end of the day I always have a little black under my eyes- but I’m not super surprised about that since any non-waterproof mascara I use does the same thing. So when I go to repurchase this I will pick up the waterproof version.
Next up is the Infallible Pro-sweep & Lock setting powder by L’oreal.
I was so happy to see this product when it showed up at the door because I was had literally just threw out the last of the setting powder I had. So I really really I wanted this! And the product itself is pretty good. It does what it says, it sets your makeup and didn’t set in the creases of my face. But the darn packaging is horrible. And I don’t know about you, but when I use a product that has crappy packaging I’m not gonna reach for it again very often. And I haven’t. I used it for about two weeks just so I could give my honest opinion. But I just can’t get past packaging that makes a mess everytime you open it.
And last but certainly not least is the E.L.F lipstick in the shade Razzle Dazzle Red.
This color is just so nice. To be honest I usually stay away from lip products with shimmer but it’s so subtle that I didn’t even notice it until I was in direct sunlight. The formula is creamy and very pigmented so you don’t have to go over your lips more than once. Also, it dries to an almost matte finish and doesn’t look glossy which is always a plus in my book.
And that’s it for the new makeup. I have a few more makeup related posts coming up that I think are going to be really fun! Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
Thanks for reading!
