This award is given to bloggers by other bloggers to show appreciation for all the time, energy and hard work that goes into their blogs. This award is an awesome milestone for new bloggers. Believe me, when I say, blogging is hard! There is a lot more to it than “just writing.”
First of all, I want to say a huge “Thank You,” to Laila Laurson creator of From The Scars for nominating my blog! Please take a moment and go check out her beautiful blog https://lailalaurson.wordpress.com/. She started her blog as a way to connect to people that enjoyed the same things she did. Like most bloggers, her interests changed a little and her niche, of course, changed too. Now she has a beautiful lifestyle blog where she shares her poetry, the music she loves and her family.
About My Blog
I create and share content that I love to create. As a stay at home mom, I spend all my time with my kids so of course there is a little content for children. But I also share things I love like books, makeup, and home management.
When I started this blog it was really just a hobby, something fun to do in my spare time. Once I discovered my mommy blogging tribe I realized that it could also be a way to make “mom friends” who understand what my life is really like.
After I found this amazing community of brilliant women all spending their time building each other up pushing each other to be their best I realized that I wanted to be one of them. Here we are a month and a half later and I’m being nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award!! What?!!
My Advice for New Bloggers
You can’t do everything. There will always and I mean always be something you could be doing to make your blog “better.” It will probably drive you crazy… as it does me, but once you get used to that fact that you can’t do it all everything becomes a little less overwhelming.
Not everyone will understand. And that’s okay. As long as you love what you are doing, you’re having fun and you aren’t hurting anyone else, I say, “you go, girl”!
Find your tribe. I am so serious about this one. I’m not a big “social media” lover per say. I love that it helps keep family and friends connected but for a long time, I didn’t even have social media. ( Just got twitter a month ago.) I guess you could say I like to keep my personal life private. But joining my mom bloggers tribe has helped bring me “out of my shell.”
Be authentic. It’s harder than you would think trying not to edit yourself for others eyes to read. Constantly wondering if the words you are typing are speaking loud enough for others to really understand what you are trying to say. Also not wanting to offend anyone. But being authentic is so important. People can see right through you if you aren’t being honest.
Have Fun. I’m trying not to be cliche but if you aren’t having fun, why would you do it? Have fun with it, do things that make you happy and share it to make others happy too!
My 15 Nominations for the Blogger Recognition Award.
Congratulations! I wish you all great success!!
