While I am sad to see August end, I’m also excited for the weather to start turning and the leaves to start falling. Also, the fact that my oldest is turning 4 on the 3rd of September has me wishing I could pause time and keep her little forever. But here we are heading into September so I’m back to share a few of the things I’ve been living this month.
A few months ago I had the St Moriz self-tanning mousse as a favorite, you can check the post out here if you’re interested in my thoughts about it. But these days I just can’t be bothered to go through the entire self-tanning process. So instead I’ve just been using the Jergens Natural Glow Firming Moisturizer. It’s so easy to rub on after a shower and doesn’t leave any streaks behind. I’m not crazy about the smell so I usually just add a pump of my regular lotion into it and it helps it smell not linger as long, but the smell hasn’t stopped me from using it, so I feel like I shouldn’t complain.
Speaking of smells… I’ve been living the Pretty as a Peach spray from Bath and Boday Works for a while now and I really enjoy it. I’m not great describing scents, I feel like you really have to smell something yourself to know if you like it, but it’s very sweet and peachy and not too overpowering. I rarely buy actual perfumes because they tend to give me headaches, but this one doesn’t at all.
Next up, nails. These Kiss Color nails are so damn convenient! The color doesn’t chip, and they aren’t too long so you don’t even have to trim them if you’re in a rush. With the weather cooling down a little I was feeling like Fall was coming and couldn’t help myself with this color.
I decided to throw this tarteist Lash Paint Mascara in this month becuase I have found myself reaching for it again and again throughout the past few months and isnt that the definition of a favorite?
And of course, I couldnt leave out my new favorite bullet journaling pens. These things are so nice! They are very thin and dont bleed through the paper(a must in my book.) They were also relatively cheap, which is why I’m okay with the fact that one of them has stopped working, but my 3-year-old was using it at the time, so I cant hold that against them.
Last but not least I wanted to talk about two podcasts I’ve been loving! First is At home with… by Lily Pebbles & Anna Newton. I have been watching both of these ladies on youtube for years so when they came out with a podcast, of course, I had to have a listen. In the podcast, they go into peoples homes and do an interview with them about everything. It’s a good one. The other podcast I want to share with you I actually heard about in a blog post I read of Anna’s, it’s called Being Boss, and it’s a podcast about well… being boss. So if you are an entrepreneur this is one you should definitely be listening to.
Thanks for reading!
