Each month, when I sit down to talk about my favorites I’m always blown away that the month is over. And this month is no different!! How are we already headed into the second month of 2018? But I’m ready for the months ahead and I’m optimistic that 2018 is going to be a good year!
Here are the things I’ve been loving throughout the month of January.
The first thing I want to talk about is something a little different for me. I’m not typically what you would call a “gamer”. But I would say I live in a gaming household. There have been a few games over the years that have caught my attention and kept it. But overall playing video games is not something I normally do with my time. But as you can tell since I’m putting it in a favorites post that this game was an exception.
The game is called Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds and it is an Xbox One game that is also a PC game. This version of the game is still in the preview stage (meaning the game is still a work in progress, the developers just released an early access version.) I have spent countless hours playing this game both with my husband and on my own and it has been so much fun.
I’ll try to explain it but I probably won’t be able to explain the game well enough to do it justice.
About the game…
Basically, you and up to 99 other people get dropped out of an airplane on an island. There you scavenge for weapons and gear to keep yourself protected. Then the playing area is selected. At that time you have to make it from the place you started to where the new playing area is. Sometimes you get lucky and you are already in the playing area. But a lot of the time you are on the move. The objective is to be the last man standing. So while you’re running to the location that you need to be you are fighting with other opponents. Even if you are someone who isn’t all that into video games, if you get the chance I would highly recommend you give this one a try!
Next up is my Bullet Journal.
This will come as no surprise to most of you because I talked about it all the time. But I am just so impressed by the Lemome company. This is the second journal I’ve had from them and I seriously love their stuff. And since I’ve been using it since the first day of January I couldn’t leave it out of my favorites. Here is the blog post I did when I was setting up my new Journal for the year. And here is my review of the bullet Journal I had last year.
The next three items I’m going to bundle together because they are all beauty products.
Here is the E.L.F baked highlighter in moonlight pearls. This is my first highlighter so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I will say that I am extremely happy with it. It is a beautiful shade that works well with my light skin tone and doesn’t have chunky glitter in it. Overall I am very happy with it.
Then I have two Wet n’ Wild products. The first is a nail polish in the shade pinky swear that I have been wearing over and over again. Every time my nails need to be redone I literally clean it off just my nails to put it back on.
And last is the photo focus concealer in the shade light ivory that I am absolutely loving. Concealer or something I usually don’t go without so I’ve tried a lot and loved very few but I am going to add this to my go-to list for concealers.
And last but definitely not least is my new Fitbit Charge 2.
I’ve been wearing this now for a little over a month and I love it so much. I got it about a week before Christmas and haven’t taken it off other than to charge it every few days. I’m sure you know what a Fitbit does so I’m not going to go too much into how it works in this post. But I will be doing a full review of this product in a blog post soon.
February here we come!!
