Monthly Favorites: May

It’s hard to believe that today is the last day of May! This month went by so fast, it feels like I was just celebrating my son’s first birthday in April and with a blink of an eye, we are heading into June. But I am ready for summer and all the memories that will be made with my babes. There are a few things that I used a ton this month and I want to share them all with you.

First up is The BareMinerals Original Foundation. I don’t want to go into too much detail about it since I did a review for the product here if you would like to check it out. I just want to say it is a serious game changer and I honestly can’t see myself using any other foundation this summer. (Bonus it has SPF 15)

Next is the Garnier Whole Blends Honey Treasures Shampoo and Conditioner. You might be thinking, “really, shampoo?” But yeah, it really is that good. Normally I have to switch my shampoo up every few washes or the residue that gets left behind makes my hair feel dirty (even straight out of the shower.) My hair is LONG, almost to my butt, and having dirty feeling hair is just something I can not handle. But this combo of shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair feeling and smelling so good after each and every wash. Plus, they are from the drugstore so they are very affordable.

This eyeshadow brush by Sephora number 205 is a dual sided brush that is a pain in the ass to store (because I use a jar to hold all my brushes so one side is always getting put away head first.) But other than storage I have nothing but good things to say about this little beauty. The crease side fits perfectly in the crease and corner of the eye and blends well. The shadow side packs on the color well and blends easily. Altogether a good purchase and you technically save money since you get two for the price of one.

And last but definitely not least is the St. Moriz self-tanning mousse. This stuff is amazing. I actually found it a few years ago in a blog post where someone was comparing it to St. Tropez. They had said that it was just as good about not leaving streaks and the only difference they found (other than the price) was that St. Tropez lasts quite a bit longer. I have never personally tried St. Tropez but after using St. Moriz and falling in love with it (and the price tag $6.95) I decided I would rather apply this more often instead of paying the St. Tropez price ($42.00.)
Anyway, this stuff is so good! It dries pretty fast and doesn’t have a horrible smell, (although it does have a slight, very tolerable smell.) I don’t get streaky from it and it wears off the skin really well with no patches. I use the color medium because I am normally whiter than a ghost but there are other shades to choose from depending on your skin tone.
I really enjoy sharing the things I’ve been loving all month long! Leave me a comment and let me know what you have been loving this May. See you in June!
